Carrot Flowers are a beautiful painting!

Ages:  preschool to adult

Items:

fresh carrots

knife - for adult use only

tempera paint

craft paper

paintbrush or toothpick

Let's begin:

An adult needs to cut the fresh carrot into several, thick round slices - from small to large slices.  Must be long enough for little fingers to stamp with.

Choose which one color of paint you like:  blue, red, pink, orange, yellow, purple and dip the flat bottom of the carrot into the paint.  Less is best.  Stamp several times on your art paper in an area the size of a coffee cup.  Dry slightly.

Choose another color and repeat with another carrot slice.  This will make 2 colors on the same flower.

Using the paintbrush or toothpick and green paint, make a small stem or leaves.

Make as many flowers as you like.

Now you have used your own imagination and created Carrot Flowers.
