While in Chicago this past summer for BlogHer, Kristin of Craft Leftovers and I had a couple hours to explore a bit of crafty Chicago. She took me to Nina (1655 West Division St., Chicago 773-486-8996), a yarn store in Wicker Park that had the most beautiful modern interior design. The long rows of yarn and displays were just begging you to touch them. I loved spectacular variety of independent and boutique yarn that I had never heard of. After an hour of torturous decision-making, I finally succumbed to 2 balls of the Be Sweet organic bamboo yarn (that's also anti-baterial) in red, some Misti Alpaca baby alpaca hand dyed yarn in shades of pink and brown, and finally a small skein of Lorna's angora/lambswool. You can see my photos of Nina and find out more from the Nina web site. Link.
