This is a really cute idea that most kids 2 and up should have no problem with. Once you teach the kids how to do this project they can do it almost independently. Supplies: Wire Snips Wooden Craft Sticks-lots Wooden craft spoons Glue Dots 1 square yard of muslin torn into 1" wide strips (this will make 7 mummies) Small Googly Eyes
Directions: 1. Trim 2 craft sticks with the wire snips to about 2 1/2" for the arms. Trim 2 more to 3" long for the legs. Attach an arm and a leg to each side of a craft spoon using a glue dot per limb. The oval part of the spoon is the head. 2. Use a glue dot to stick the end of a strip of muslin to the skeleton. It works best to do the body part last. Continue wrapping the strips until you have covered the skeleton. You will probably use 4 strips of muslin. Attach each strip with a glue dot as you work. Use glue dots to attach googly eyes!
