These handmade lanterns look adorable lined up on a walkway or porch. Supplies: - clean plastic gallon milk jugs
- black permanent marker
- craft knife
- string of clear plastic holiday lights.
Instructions: - Draw ghost eyes and mouth on the jugs. It is best to leave the caps on the jugs while you are drawing to reduce the chance of denting the jugs.
- Parents use the craft knife to cut a half dollar size hole in the back of the jug for the lights.
- Arrange the jugs near each other and stuff several bulbs into each one.
This craft can also be used to make pumpkin laterns. Follow all of the instructions above but substitute orange lights for clear ones. You may be able to find orange holiday lights in a Halloween store or the Halloween section of Target or Wal-Mart.
