Materials: Paper Plate Markers, Color Pencils, or (brown, red, orange) Brown and Red paint Template pieces (Provided/Print) or make your own by tracing the shapes onto construction paper Scissors Glue Stapler (optional, but it is faster than glue!) Directions: On a paper plate, draw some lines (coming from the center of the plate out to the edges)in brown, red and orange Dip your index finger into brown paint and make fingerprints randomly on the plate You could let them dry at this point but it is optional Now dip your pinkie finger into the red paint and make a fingerprint in the center of each of the brown prints you made.
Now you must let your plates dry. Making the Body: (Do this while the plates are drying!) Print out the template, cit the shapes out and trace them onto construction paper. (You can use whatever colors you like but the basic is Brown for the body, Black for the eyes, red for the gobbler and orange for the beak) To assemble the body: The narrow part of the body is the head. Glue the eyes, gobbler and beak onto the head. (You could also use wiggle eyes or just draw them on with a black marker) Next glue on the feet. Next glue the feet onto the bottom of the body. Finally glue or staple the body to the plate and you have a turkey!
