Sensory bottles
Take some empty plastic bottles (20 oz or so works best) and follow directions below. 1. Lava Lamp - Fill 1 Bottle 1/2 full with water, food coloring of your choice and 1/2 baby oil. It produces a lava lamp effect when tilted.
2. Snow Globe - Fillr 1 Bottle 1/2 full with water and 1/2 with corn syrup. Add glitter and/or beads. The corn syrup makes the glitter fall slowly for dazzling effects.
3. Discovery Bottles - Fill your bottle with rice and other small objects like dice, small toys, paper clips etc. As you roll the bottle, different objects will come to the surface to be discovered.
Once you are all done making your bottles, fill the caps with hot glue and twist them on. Let set until dry and you have a great addition to you sensory set. Try setting your bottles on the window sill on a sunny day and see how great they look!
